In this dynamic role, the chosen candidate will spearhead the strategic development and implementation of the Workforce Safety (WFS) framework, driving a culture of safety excellence across all divisions of Ultralub. The successful candidate will serve as the primary authority on all matters related to WFS, facilitating the integration of safety processes, protocols, and best practices into our operational systems.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Act as the primary owner of WFS performance across all Ultralub facilities, leaving no room for Serious Injuries and Fatalities.
• Devise and execute a comprehensive WFS strategy tailored specifically for Ultralub's operations.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance to various departments in the effective implementation of the WFS strategy.
• Oversee the successful deployment and maintenance of the Managing Safe Work Process (MSW) and other relevant corporate OE standards.
• Offer expert advice on diverse personnel safety concerns, conducting risk assessments and implementing necessary safeguards.
• Conduct thorough WFS training sessions for employees, fostering a safety-conscious work culture.
• Lead and ensure the effectiveness of all WFS safeguard assurance programs, guaranteeing the highest level of operational safety.
• Ensure compliance with all Ultralub and industry-specific safety regulations, aligning with global standards and best practices.
• Facilitate comprehensive training programs on all aspects of Workforce Safety, catering to the specific needs of Ultralub.
Required Qualifications:
• Demonstrable experience in exerting influence within a field environment, particularly in EMs.
• Proven track record in managing Workforce Safety, preferably in HSE, Operations, or Construction sectors.
• Proficiency in PDVSA workforce safety standards, alongside a comprehensive understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to operate seamlessly within EM facilities such as PetroPiar, PetroBoscan, and PetroIndependencia.
• Hands-on experience with work permitting systems and Workforce Safety Audits.
• Profound expertise in implementing effective safety driving practices and enhancing driver safety.
• Proficiency in data analysis and trend interpretation, enabling proactive safety measures.
• Robust training capabilities, adept at imparting essential safety knowledge to employees.
• Comprehensive understanding and experience in Incident Investigation and management within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Professional working proficiency in English, enabling seamless communication across various levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Direct exposure to Verification and Validation Programs, indicating a deep understanding of industry best practices.
• Prior work experience within international oil companies, bringing a global perspective to safety protocols.
• Fluent communication skills in English, facilitating effective cross-cultural exchanges and collaborations.
• Established professional connections within Chevron and/or EMs, fostering an enriched network for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
International Considerations:
• This role does not include expatriate assignments, ensuring a stable work environment within Venezuela.
