Conectium, a reputable company based in Caracas, Venezuela, is currently seeking a qualified professional to join their team in the position of Senior Reservoir Engineer. As a company dedicated to providing innovative solutions in the energy sector, Conectium is looking for a high-energy individual who will play a vital role in their operations. The successful candidate will primarily focus on Reservoir Management and will be directly involved in overseeing Petroindependencia, a joint venture with PDVSA.
Key Responsibilities for this position at Conectium may encompass, but are not limited to:
Drillable Well Location Maturation: Collaborate closely with joint venture Production, Drilling & Completions (D&C), and Capital Project teams to ensure the efficient execution of annual work programs, with a particular focus on the development drilling program.
Long-Range Business Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive long-range business plans aimed at maximizing the value of joint venture assets. Seek alignment with PDVSA to ensure the objectives of the business plan are achieved.
Operational Excellence: Ensure the integration of Capital Stewardship, Base Business, and Operational Excellence (OE) principles into all joint venture activities, taking the lead in initiating necessary changes to improve operational performance.
Process Optimization: Work on the development and implementation of best operating practices that optimize Conectium's work processes while enhancing performance in collaboration with PDVSA.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Prepare Business Plan production forecasts and coordinate with planning for Operating and Capital Budgets. Lead the preparation of the capital budget for new drills, workovers, surveillance, and reservoir studies, including the delineation plan.
Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with PDVSA and other joint venture partners to ensure proper governance around asset development strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Technical, Supply Chain, Finance, and Planning organizations to optimize joint venture performance and deliver maximum value to Conectium.
Mentorship: Function as a mentor to less experienced professionals, including Joint Venture PDVSA employees.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in petroleum or chemical engineering.
A significant track record of relevant Reservoir Engineering experience (10 - 15 years).
Proficiency in software and digital solutions related to the position.
Medium to high level of English language proficiency (spoken, written, and reading).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Empresa Mixta operations.
Expertise in Heavy Oil operations.
Previous roles as a Reservoir Engineer/Supervisor.
Experience in mentoring and teaching.
